The Vancouver Immigration Partnership is a coalition of over 25 local organizations working together to better the lives of immigrants in Vancouver. I was approached by the Social Policy department of the City of Vancouver, who is overseeing this project, to interpret their research findings into infographics.
Individual slides + infographic with all compiled data
The project included creating roughly 20 slides for their new website showing results of a recent immigration survey and findings from Census Canada polling as well as a poster showing all the infographics at once.
Easy to understand information for newcomers
I prioritized designing the data in a way that is easy to understand for newcomers who are learning English. Each data point was broken down and displayed individually with graphics that incorporated diversity. Finding generic symbols that represent people while still diverse is challenging, but was a priority for this project to represent and speak to its target audience.
